Συγγραφέας

Ο συγγραφέας - εικονογράφος Μασάσι Κισιμότο γεννήθηκε το 1974 στην εξοχή της επαρχίας Οκαγιάμα, στην Ιαπωνία. Αφού φοίτησε σε σχολή καλών τεχνών, κέρδισε το βραβείο "Hop Step" για νεαρούς καλλιτέχνες μάνγκα με το έργο "Karakuri" (Καρακούρι, μηχανισμός). Ο Κισιμότο αποφάσισε να βασίσει την επόμενη ιστορία του πάνω στην παραδοσιακή ιαπωνική κουλτούρα. Η πρώτη έκδοση του "Naruto", η οποία πραγματοποιήθηκε το 1997, ήταν μια αυτοτελής ιστορία σχετική με πνεύματα αλεπούδων. Η τελική του έκδοση, η οποία έκανε το ντεπούτο της στο "Weekly Shonen Jump" το 1999, έγινε γρήγορα το πιο δημοφιλές μάνγκα με νίντζα στην Ιαπωνία.
